TV Mounting in Miami

How this works
Most TV mounting jobs in Miami come down to one variable that decides everything else: what's behind the drywall. A lot of Miami-Dade housing stock — especially anything built from the 1960s through the 1990s — has concrete block (CBS) exterior and interior partition walls, not wood studs. That changes the hardware, the drill bits, and the time it takes. A mount going into open studs is a 45-minute job. The same mount going into poured concrete or block is closer to two hours, with masonry anchors rated for the TV's weight, not just whatever came in the mount's box.
We check for studs (or block) before quoting anything, which is why a photo of the wall gets you a real number instead of a guess. On drywall-over-stud walls we find the studs, level the mount, and run the cables either through the wall (in-wall cable kit, code-rated, no bare Romex behind drywall) or tuck them into a paintable raceway if going through the wall isn't an option — rentals and condo buildings often don't allow in-wall runs, so we ask first.
The other Miami-specific wrinkle is condo and high-rise buildings. A lot of newer towers in Brickell and Downtown have concrete columns and shear walls in places you wouldn't expect, and some buildings have rules about what a vendor can and can't drill into (and require a certificate of insurance just to get past the loading dock). We've worked in enough of these buildings to know what to check for before we ever pick up a drill.

How long does TV mounting take?
Most single-TV installs on drywall take 45–90 minutes. Concrete or block walls, or a full in-wall cable run, usually take closer to 1.5–2.5 hours. We'll give you a time window with your estimate.
Can you mount a TV without drilling into concrete?
If the wall is solid concrete or block, drilling is unavoidable for a secure mount — no adhesive strip or drywall-only hardware safely holds a TV on that surface. We use masonry anchors rated for the weight and patch cleanly if you ever remove it.
Do you supply the TV mount?
Either way works. If you already bought one, send us the model or a photo of the box and we'll confirm it's rated for your TV and wall. If not, we can bring one sized to your TV.
Will the cables be visible?
Not if you don't want them to be. We can run them inside the wall with a code-rated in-wall kit, or use a paintable cord cover if an in-wall run isn't allowed (common in rentals and some condo buildings).
