IKEA & Furniture Assembly in Miami
Flat-pack furniture is only cheap if someone else's time isn't part of the cost. Send the product link or a photo of the box and get a price before it's sitting half-built in your living room.
How this works
Furniture assembly sounds simple until you're three hours into a wardrobe with the wrong panel facing out and a bag of extra screws you're now afraid to throw away. We assemble IKEA, Wayfair, Amazon, and most other flat-pack brands — the tools and the patience are the same regardless of the logo on the box.
The jobs that come up most in Miami are move-in furnishing (a full apartment of new furniture arriving the same week as the move) and Airbnb/rental turnover, where a host needs a bed frame or a dresser built and ready before the next guest checks in. Both of those are time-sensitive in a way that DIY assembly usually isn't — which is why this is one of our most requested services.
We build it plumb, level, and actually attached to the wall where that matters. Tall pieces — wardrobes, bookshelves, dressers over about 30" — get anti-tip anchoring into a stud or the appropriate wall anchor, especially in homes with kids or pets. It's a five-minute step that a lot of DIY assembly skips, and it's the difference between furniture that's just built and furniture that's actually safe.
What's included
- Full assembly from flat-pack to finished piece, any major retailer
- Anti-tip wall anchoring on tall or top-heavy pieces
- Packaging and debris removed (unless you want to keep it for a return)
- Multi-item assembly for full-room or full-apartment furnishing
- Minor hardware substitution if a piece arrives with damaged or missing parts (we carry a general hardware kit)
Why hire a pro for this
Most flat-pack failures aren't cosmetic — they're structural. Cam locks that aren't fully seated, back panels stapled instead of screwed, or a dresser that isn't anchored to the wall are the kind of shortcuts that don't show up until the piece is loaded or a kid climbs a drawer.
Frequently asked questions
Do you assemble furniture that isn't from IKEA?
Yes — Wayfair, Amazon, Target, Article, and most other flat-pack brands. The assembly principles are the same; send a photo of the box or the product page and we'll confirm.
What if pieces are missing from the box?
We carry a general hardware kit that covers most common screws, dowels, and cam locks. If something brand-specific is missing (a proprietary bracket, for example), we'll tell you exactly what to order from the manufacturer.
Can you assemble multiple pieces in one visit?
That's most of our furniture jobs — a bedroom set, a full move-in furnishing order, or a turnover for a rental. Send the full list and we'll quote it as one visit.
Will you anchor furniture to the wall?
Yes, on anything tall or top-heavy — dressers, wardrobes, tall bookshelves — as standard practice, not an upsell. It's a quick step and it matters most in homes with kids or pets.
